Commercial Strategist

Odd.Bot’s mission and momentum are transforming the company from an R&D-driven pioneer into an innovation-driven, scalable enterprise. As our founder Martijn increasingly steps back from day-to-day operations, you will take over the strategic leadership of our commercial operations. You’re the strategist and entrepreneurial builder who bridges the gap between bold ideas and decisive execution.

Your mission is clear: you’re not just the strategist who sets the pace, but the pioneer who independently breaks into new markets and builds a scalable commercial structure. In your Business Development role, you’ll build a structured marketing and branding machine. With this goal-oriented and structured approach, you’ll take the lead over our entire commercial organization by 2027. You’ll translate our vision into seamless execution, with the ultimate goal of achieving our BHAG: making chemical-free agriculture the new global standard by surpassing conventional methods.

Results You’ll Achieve At Odd.Bot:

We focus on measurable results. Here’s the challenge you’ll take on:

  • Data-Driven Business Cases: As an “idea engine,” you’ll proactively gather market data and translate it into clear and realistic business cases to justify our market expansion.

  • Commercial Scalability: You’ll develop a robust commercial strategy with concrete results in the areas of market segmentation, pricing, sales structures, and a successful international rollout.

  • Achieving Commercial Growth: You’ll tightly manage our commercial execution, doubling our growth year over year and serving as the driving force behind our expansion into a second continent.

  • Organizational Transition & Structure: By the end of 2026, you will have successfully integrated and optimized Marketing, Branding, and Market Research. This transition will be complete by mid-2027 at the latest, and all commercial departments will fall under your leadership.

  • Team & Loyalty: You’ll build an agile commercial organization and clarify roles and responsibilities. You’ll consistently achieve a Customer NPS and Employee NPS of 8+.

Your profile and our strict requirements:

You qualify for this role because you demonstrably meet the following requirements:

  • Track record in scaling up: You have proven experience successfully scaling commercial revenue (for example, from approximately €6 million to €20 million) within a dynamic scale-up or agile, mid-sized organization. Large, bureaucratic corporations are not your natural habitat.

  • Hands-On Execution: We are definitely not looking for a “consultant-like” profile. You are an entrepreneurial, creative builder who takes the lead and demonstrates ownership of the execution; you are also willing to directly tackle the process side and back office where necessary.

  • Leadership & Structure: You have at least 5 years of experience in a commercial role with final responsibility (preferably international) and have a proven track record of bringing rhythm, processes, and structure to fast-growing teams.

  • Data, Partner & Dealer Management: You manage tightly based on management information and have experience with the operational aspects of international dealer management (contracting, activation, performance monitoring).

  • Industry & Language Skills: Expertise or a strong affinity for the agri or tech sector (robotics/AI) is crucial. You have an excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch, French, and German is a valuable asset for European expansion.
