Mechatronics Engineer

You see the solution before we even have figured out where the problem is. You already have the next improvement planned, while you are still testing the current one and ensuring it is ready for deployment in the field. Together with the team, you will work on better design, smooth operation, robustness, and making our weeding robots project-ready. You are our tower of strength in mechatronics!

Apply

You...

work to design and improve mechatronic systems, including mechanics and electronics. You are independent in your own work and can connect with the work of your colleagues in other fields of expertise. With the existing systems, you optimize the electronics cabinets, PCBs, motion mechanisms, drives, and sensor technology. In addition, you will work on building, testing, and further developing prototypes of parts and systems of the weeding robot. You know better than anyone that this is a process of trial and error, and you will not be discouraged by this.
During the process, you will report on the test results and make proposals for improvement based on your findings. You will also play a key role in supporting the transition from prototypes to series production, ensuring that designs are scalable, manufacturable, and ready for deployment. In addition, you will be responsible for drawing up technical manuals and procedures for your colleagues in the production department. You are able to communicate technical information to non-technical people and vice versa.

We...

have been working for years on autonomous weeding robots. The main goal is to make our robot remove weeds faster, more effectively, and as robust as possible. At Odd.Bot we realise that outdoor environments are a challenge for precise mechatronic machinery, but it's challenges like these that drive us forward. We want to make organic weeding the standard for all fields.
Life at Odd.Bot is also about working hard and playing hard. We always try to balance work and life. Our team is super proud of our achievements, which we like to celebrate as often as we can. As a group we value time management, pragmatic/problem solving, flexibility, proper risk management, collaboration, planning and organisation and teamwork.
